Things To Do

The delightful historic market town of Bridgnorth is only six miles away, with its lovely side streets, individually themed shops and a wide range of cafés, bars and restaurants.

A Saturday market is held under its magnificent Town Hall and a cliff railway connecting High and Low towns.

Other attractions are the castle grounds with its ruined tower leaning three times greater than the leaning tower of Pisa, the River Severn and the Severn Valley Steam Railway.

A further 6 miles away lies Ironbridge, the birth place of industry with Blists Hill and many other museums. The river side town of Bewdley and the West Midlands Safari Park are only 10 miles from Six Ashes, and the Cosford Aerospace and Cold War Museum is just a 12 mile drive.

Shropshire has many delightful market towns including Ludlow and Much Wenlock (which was the birth place of the modern Olympic movement) and the County Town of Shrewsbury, all within easy reach.

Visitor Testimonials

Me and my partner stayed for a week. Had a peaceful break exploring nearby towns, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. Lovely pub next to the holiday cottage. We enjoyed a lazy afternoon with a Sunday lunch and a few drinks. Will definitely be returning.

Mr Craig Griffiths, September 2018

A lovely holiday let, spacious and light. Dog friendly in the accomodation and the pub. Close to lots of local attractions. A lovely relaxing break.

Mr and Mrs Carter, November 2018

Thank you Amy for an excellent few days at Ash Cottage. We loved your food and the company of local customers, plus of course your two dogs and lonely chicken. Can’t wait to come back.

Another Amy and Fred from Wellington

My husband and I stayed for our grandson’s christening. We really loved the cottage and location. Staff at the Six Ashes so helpful and friendly. We are hoping to return at Christmas.

Paul and Liz Jones

Stayed while visiting friends for a birthday. Very welcoming staff and a lovley location. We remember the barn before the conversion, a great renovation. Beautifully done.

Mr and Mrs Childs, April 2019

My wife and I recently returned from spending a delightful seven days in 1 Ash Cottage, Nr Bobbington. It is in fact a superb barn conversion, situated next to the quintessential Six Ashes Inn, a friendly locals pub serving delicious food. Now we are retired from work and hope to make many return visits.
